Fr. Jeremiah J. Reilly Council, the Biggest Little Council on Long Island, is a Knights of Columbus Council serving the parishes of Sacred Heart (North Merrick) and Curé of Ars (Merrick),

Our order was founded on March 29, 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney to provide financial assistance for widows and orphans of deceased parishioners.  It has grown to an international order which provides  support for our Church and charities, and meets its original objective through its highly rated insurance company.

The Knights of Columbus are dedicated to four principles: Charity, Unity, Fraternity and  Patriotism.  Charity is the first principle of our order.

For more information about the Knights of Columbus, visit the website for our Supreme Council.

The Knights of Columbus is an international Catholic family fraternal service organization with nearly 1.8 million members in more than 13,000 local councils.  In the past decade, the Knights donated nearly $1 billion to numerous charitable causes and nearly 400 million hours of volunteer service. Last year alone, the Knights donated nearly $151 million and 69 million volunteer hours to charitable causes. In many Catholic parishes, a good number of the men who are active and involved are Knights.
