Young hoopsters braved the cold to gather at the Sacred Heart gym on January 21st as Father Jeremiah J. Reilly Council sponsored the local competition in the 2012 Knights of Columbus International Free Throw Contest.  The talented group of sharpshooters battled it out for the honor of going on to represent our Council and community in district and county shoot-outs.
This year’s champions were Kristen Doblowski, Tara Haggerman, Kassidy Estrella ,Zacarias Estrella and John Timony.  Kassidy and John are repeat winners, with John winning three years in a row!  John nailed thirteen out of fifteen shots!  A great time was had by all! 
At the District Shootout on February 4th, Kassidy Estrella and John Timony were triumphant and will be heading on to the County Championships next month. We'll be rooting for them!
