Young hoopsters gathered at the new Sacred Heart gym on January 22nd as Father Jeremiah J. Reilly Council sponsored the local competition in the 2011 Knights of Columbus International Free Throw Contest. The talented group of sharpshooters battled it out for the honor of going on to represent our Council and community in district and county shoot-outs.

This year’s champions were Erin Conlon, Kassidy Estrella, Kimberly Pikand Audrey McBrien for the girls and Hayden Pryor, John Timony, Connor Hannon and Steven Molinario. Kim and John are repeat winners from last year!  Hayden went five-forfive in a shootout to resolve a tie, and John nailed ten out of fifteen shots despite having no competitors in his division! A great time was had by all! 

Our champions from Fr. Jeremiah J. Reilly Council took their talent to the next level when they participated in the District Championship contest on February 5th.

Kassidy Estrella, Kimberly Pike, Audrey McBrien, Hayden Pryor and John Timony represented our Council and community in this competition.  Facing tough competition, our group made a great showing, with Kassidy Estrella, Kimberly Pike, Audrey McBrien, Hayden Pryor advancing to the County Championships.

Next stop for our sharpshooters is the County Championship in March.     We'll be rooting for them!

Our young sharpshooters have been a source of pride for our Council and community in recent years, with many victories and a State Champion! Will we have another State Champion this year?
